Andhra Pradesh, October 23, 2025:
The decision to keep offices and institutions open amid such severe weather has drawn criticism from citizens, who described it as an example of poor administrative response. Many government and private offices in the state continue to operate from old buildings that were constructed over 50 years ago. Locals fear that these weak structures might collapse due to the incessant rainfall.
Transportation services have also been badly affected, with roadblocks and waterlogging disrupting normal life. Commuters are facing difficulties reaching workplaces which is more than 120km from home and schools as several routes remain partially submerged.

Citizens are urging the concerned authorities to take immediate action by inspecting and disposing of dilapidated structures, except those classified as heritage sites, to prevent any possible mishaps. They also demanded timely decisions and preventive measures to ensure public safety during extreme weather conditions.
